A Celebration: 3rd Anniversary & New Blog Layout

If you followed me on Twitter, you would know that today marks our 3 years anniversary with the wonderful boyfriend and that he got me a pretty amazing gift (see below) - considering he is 10199.45km away (yes, I googled) Now I don't talk much about my private life on my blog because I'm not that comfortable doing so. but...I'll make an exception for today.
(Background: We've been in a long distance relationship for 1-2 years now since he's studying in the UK whilst I'm in Vietnam...so we only get to see each other every few months)

Btw, he's a massive Arsenal fan which explains the beanie :P

(Don't mind my locker, it's like a whirlwind struck)
Anyway, this was the surprise I got in my locker this morning. 3 bouquet of roses for 3 years - geddit? I wasn't expecting anything since he's still far far away in the UKso this definitely was a good surprise - turns out he planned it with a mutual friend :')
I love you a lottle brah - see, now the whole world knows ;)

On another celebratory note (but of less importance of course), you may or may not have noticed... I changed my blog layout!

I wanted a more professional, minimalist and clean looking blog design so I scoured Etsy for a simple and cheap template (only $25) and then proceeded the self-customization process because I wanted to add a bit more colour and vibrance to make this more me. I made myself a new, simple yet colourful header (very me, I must say) as well as a new social media icons as I wanted it to be a paler pink to match the ethereal feel. Next stop: change the category buttons because it's bugging me.

What do you guys think of the new blog layout?

OUTFIT // Moulin Rouge

ALSO ON CHICTOPIA

dress: eBay (similar) // heels: New Look via ASOS (sold out, but similar) // earrings: boutique in Malaysia (similar + similar) // necklace: gifted by friend

My 3rd and final look in my Valentine's Day series.

This one is definitely dressier than the other two and is perfect for a more formal, romantic dinner date - it's one for the night. A statement dress, minimal makeup, nude heels and you're good to go! I opt not to go for red lips because firstly, I wanted the dress to stand out and secondly, there's only so much red one person can take! The back of this dress is also entirely see through lace so *wink*wink*
I actually also wore this dress during the first day of the Lunar New Year and I love how bright it is. The lace material adds a hint of sexiness as well. And for under £5 on eBay? Can't get better than that!

Also, the gusts of wind that day gave my hair more volume than it has & the lighting turned out to be pretty awesome (instead of harsh) - natural elements, I thank you.

Hope you're not stuck for outfit ideas now! Check back to this space for the final installment tomorrow!

OUTFIT // X's and O's

ALSO ON CHICTOPIA

sweater: sister's (similar + similar)// skirt: sister's (similar + similar)// wedge boots: boutique at Berjaya Time Square (similarsimilar) // satchel: boohoo (sold out, but similar) // earrings: padini // rings: diva, ebay (infinity + leaf) // necklace: ebay

So this outfit is basically stolen from my sister's closet. Mind you, she's five years younger than I am, but being the petite person that is me...I can basically wear her clothes :P
Anyway, if you're planning on a quiet (or maybe not) indoor date this Valentine's Day - think bowling and movies, then this is for you! A slouchy lightweight sweater loosely tucked into a burgundy skirt (can't you tell I'm loving that colour?) There's nothing better than feeling comfortable all day. See those little heart cut outs on the skirt? If that doesn't scream Valentine's Day, I don't know what does - love it.
Also, my sister is currently sick at home with dengue fever so please do pray for her speedy recovery!

OUTFIT // Roses Are Red

ALSO ON CHICTOPIA

dress: Missguided // hat: Cotton On (similar + similar) // shoes: sister's (similar + similar) // peacock earrings: gifted by sister (similar)

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you!

So sorry that I haven't done an outfit post in agessss! Things just got very hectic these last few days :/

Part of my 'Countdown to Valentine's Day' series so keep checking back for more V-day ideas!
Sometimes, you don't need to get all dressed up and simplicity is the best.
This Missguided Swing Dress is perfect for an outdoors date or even a lovely picnic at the park! I love how this dress flows and the deep crimson red colour completes it! On me, it's also not too scandalously short or awkwardly long which makes it an even bigger winner.
