Graduation Trip - Part 1

If you've been following my Twitter or Instagram, then you'll have seen sneak peeks of my amazing trip with amazing people to the beach in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, about 2/3 of us seniors took a night train to Nha Trang which took around 10 hours...meaning that we arrived there at 5am in the morning :P Due to lack of sleep (naturally, with 40 high-school graduates on board), we walked around town hoping to find an open cafe to fill our tummies. On the brighter side, we managed to catch the sunrise on the beach (I swear it's impossible to take bad pictures at beaches)!

We stayed at a cheap yet clean hotel that was walking distance from the beach because we'll really only be at the hotel to change or sleep.

I'm not going to talk too much about what we did because it was basically chilling, relaxing by the beach, swimming in the sea and washing our minds clean from school work. Although, one of the highlights of the trip was definitely swimming in the sea at midnight whilst being ever so slightly alcohol-induced. There's just something about the dark body of water, the empty view around you and the silence at night that makes the experience scary yet thrilling. Oh and, we also managed to watch a few movies at the local cinema (Malificent & Godzilla) as ticket prices were only 50,000 VND (about US$2.5). Being a fan of water sports, I also went on the banana boat which was such a fun experience.

Of course, what better way to celebrate our freedom than to spend a few nights out until the crack of dawn?

Our (well, my) favourite restaurant called Olivia's that was near our hotel. They serve predominantly Italian food and it was reasonably price, cheaper relative to the main cities of Vietnam! And their ravioli? Best ever. Also, as the majority of the tourists at Nha Trang were Russian, there are tons of Russian shops, restaurants and most signboards and menus will also have a Russian version! So if you speak Russian, this place is for you.

Hope you enjoy the picturesque scenery! Stay tune for Part 2 where we head to Vinpearl Theme Park
