Summer Series #8 // Summer Traumas Solutions!

The weather outside is heating up which can result in different kinds of traumas! But don't worry, there are solutions!
Trauma #1: Infected piercings
Sweat + water are the perfect conditions for bacteria which can make your piercings crusty and painful :/
- Timing is key: Piercings take at least 4 months to heal so it's best not to get a piercing this time cause there's a higher risk of it getting infected and no one wants that!
- Clean, clean, clean: Even if you've have your piercing for a while, it can still trap sweat and bacteria. Clean it daily with anti-bacterial soap and 3 times a week with peroxide
- Watch where you swim: Especially if it's public pools with infection-causing bacteria! Avoid them and let your piercing heal.
Trauma #2: Sweaty pits
- Wear airy clothes: Surely this one's obvious! Tightly knit fabric like silk and rayon trap sweat so opt for loose ones like cotton or linen to let it evaporate
- Buy strong antiperspirant: To keep your pits drier as it'll block sweat ducts
Trauma #3: Smelly feet, ewww
When your feet sweat in the heat, bacteria multiply and release a not so pleasant odor
- Prep those feet: Spray them with antiperspirant deodorant and sprinkle your feet with baby powder to absorb the sweat
- Stink, be gone!: Instead of spraying your shoes with perfume, put them in the Sun for a few hours. The UV rays can kill bacteria (:
- Sandals are a girl's best friend: What better excuse than to wear comfy sandals all day long to let your feet breathe!
