Media Rave Sunday #7

Music
Please Don't Say You Love Me - Gabrielle Aplin

The boyfriend showed me this - at first I thought it was a rather strange name for a song title but the song is actually quite good (: Have a listen!
TV

Watched this yesterday & it has become one of my favourite movies!

If you like magic (or if you don't) you must must must must watch this. I'll try to describe my feelings towards this movie without giving anything away.
In this movie, things are not what you expect. There are tons of plot twists and this movie keeps you on your toes guessing - the one you suspect is most likely wrong. The tricks performed are ingenius, amazing and mind-boggling - I'm not kidding, go watch it if you don't believe me.
Also, Dave Franco (James Franco's younger brother) is incredibly...attractive in this movie - <3

A MUST WATCH - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Have you listened to that song by Gabrielle Aplin or watched 'Now You See Me'? What are your thoughts on it?

Media Rave Sunday #4

What I'm raving about this week:
Music

Clarity - Zedd ft. Foxes
First heard this song when Sam Tsui covered it (He is amazing, must go check him out). This song is a great song (:
TV
The Great Gatsby (2013)
Finally got a chance to watch this on the last day of school with my friends! I actually had to study the novel (by F.Scott Fitzgerald) for my IGCSEs last year - which was a pain analysing it - so it was interesting to see how they interpreted the story. It was rather exciting since after analysing it, I knew all the symbolic references and even remembered the prominent quotes! :D
I thought the casting was quite good. Daisy (Carey Mulligan), Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), Tom, Myrtle and Nick Carraway was all how I imagined them to be! But I've always seen Wilson as being much older and Jordan with longer hair.
All in all, considering it was a portrayal of a classic 1920 novel, it kept as close to the story as possible, the music (although some were a bit out of place), costumes and setting were incredible. Highly recommend it!

Media Rave Sunday #2

Here's what I'm raving about this week:
Music

It's Time - Imagine Dragons

I'm really loving the band 'Imagine Dragons' right now & I think that they should be given more credit in the music industry. It's Time is probably my favourite song out of the bunch and my friends and I are attempting to do this song in Battle of the Bands this year!

TV/ The Big Screen

Pretty Little Liars - Season 4

I've read the books a longgg time ago & although the tv series have little to no relations to the book... it's still super interesting and dramatic. I've been waiting forever for Season 4 to begin and the first episode came out this week (June 11)! (: The first episode was a perfect starter and some questions were answered. I love watching this show because it's relatable yet surreal - can't wait to see what will happen this season!

Media Rave Sunday #1

I've decided to showcase my favourite finds in the media industry every week (: Without further ado:
Music

Everything Has Changed (Music Video) - Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran

Truth be told, this song was never one of my favourites on her latest album... until now! I LOVE the music video. I find it incredibly adorable, matches the lyrics of the song and I think it even makes it more meaningful (: Watch it!

TV / The Big Screen

After most of the tv series that I've been watching (i.e Glee, How I Met Your Mother, The Carrie Diaries, Once Upon A Time) finished the season finale, I had to find another one! And my friends recommended Modern Family (: I'm still on the first season but I love it so far! I love how they incorporate many different family scenarios which makes it more interesting, relatable and hilarious! It's nothing dramatic but a good watch after a long day (: Plus, one episode is about 20mins which means I won't feel so guilty when I watch one instead of doing my homework :P If you don't watch this yet, give it a go (:
