Surviving Winter: Only 3 coats I need

When I first arrived to the UK, I made two mistakes:

a) Buying wayyy too many coats simply because each one was slightly different to the other. But in my defense, it was my first time getting the chance to buy any sort of outerwear so I naturally employed the 'gotta catch 'em all' attitude...

OOTD // Joy to the World

ALSO ON CHICTOPIA

sparkly maxi skirt: boohoo (similar) // crop top: thrifted (similar) // black wedges: new look(similar) // chunky necklace: eBay // earrings: boutique in Malaysia (similar) // lips: lime crime velvetine in 'red velvet'

"Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing"

Guess whaaaat? It's Christmas Dayyyy! I can't contain my excitement :D
In honour of my Christmas countdown, here is 1 Christmas outfit (:

As soon as this Boohoo maxi skirt arrived (haul to come soon), I knew it had to be incorporated into Christmas somehow! It was so flowy, sparkly and best of all, gold! It's also sheer, but it has knicker pants underneath so you're not over-exposed - no one wants that! It was also only £6 in the sale, but I think it's sold out now :( :(

I wore this to church on Christmas Eve and kept it simple - black crop top, gold accessories to match and a bold red lip for that extra festivity. All in all, I love this outfit. It's so elegant, formal and made me feel like a semi-princess, teeheee :')

I can't believe it's Christmas already though! Felt like this day would never come...anyway, it's 2am as I write this and I should probably head to bed because my sisters want to be up early to open presents :P
Hope you guys enjoyed the 5 day countdown with loads of Christmas goodness (go to my archive to check them out!)
Gooooood night and hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!

OOTD // Let It Snow

ALSO ON CHICTOPIA

Top: Mango // Dress (worn underneath): gifted by grand-aunt // Flats: Padini // Bag: Ebay //
Beanie: unbranded // Necklace: Ebay

Long sleeved tops over a dress never fails to be a great layering combination for this time of year! Something simple and casual with a pop of colour a la bag which I got for a bargainous price on ebay! The statement necklace I'm wearing is also something I picked up on ebay for only US$ 2! But somehow, I can't seem to find the item again! :( :(

This beanie actually has an interesting story. I bought it during an International Award (Duke of Edinburgh - for some of you) expedition because we had to hike up this mountain that was also a touristic sight. There were small local shops, but since we weren't allowed to buy food or beverages, I thought I'd get this beanie! I love how it's multi coloured and has a huge (sort of) pom-pom at the back :D

By the way, watched Catching Fire during the weekends and let me tell you, it's one of the best book-to-movie adaptations in my opinion. Although they did leave out some details - i.e the video footage of how the other victors won their games, that would've been so interesting - it was still pretty damn close. The arena was exactly how I imagined it to be. Love love love that movie! Can't wait for the third one, although it's aeons away :( Which reminds me, I have to re-read the trilogy during Christmas break!

Also, took part in a 5km run this weekend and now, my leg muscles are so sore D:
Ran it in 33 minutes - is that fast? Just glad I didn't stop at all during the run :')

Oh and, update on my UCAS, I got an offer from the University of Exeter to study PPE! My first offer but hey, at least a university wants me - happy days :')
Right now, I can't wait for school to end! A week and a half to go!

A/W Wishlist Week #2 // Tartan All Over

There is no doubt that tartan is one of the hottest trend in this year's A/W. So here are some of my ultimate favourites - and they're not all your standard red tartan either!

Especially since the weather is getting cooler, this is a great transitioning piece! Looks stylish AND keeps you warm and comfy. Although a bit on the steep side, I believe it can be worn on many occasions every year so it's worth the investment (:

Something different from the normal red tartan which means that this gives you a unique preppy look without going overboard. This will go well with anything!

Pair it with tights or just wear it on its own, this pair of plaid denim shorts will add a pop of colour in the fall!

4. Red Tartan Peplum Top£12.50

You can never go wrong with peplum and this tartan design is gorgeous! There are endless possibilities to pair it with for a sophisticated chic look.

5. Backpack in Tartan£28

Start the school year with a new tartan backpack or have it with you around town.

Who says you can't wear dresses during autumn? Tartan is definitely a staple print this season and you can dress this dress (haha, geddit?) up or down depending on your occasion! At that price, it's a bargain!

What is your favourite tartan piece?

A/W Wishlist Week #1 // Sweater Weather

Since it's A/W and in conjunction with the numerous fashion weeks going on, I've decided to make this week, 'A Week of A/W Wishlists' where I scour the world wide web for great finds to amp up your autumn/winter wardrobe (:

First up, sweaters. They're the first thing that comes into my mind when I think of autumn/winter. So cozy and warm! Guess what guys, it's sweater weather!

1. Ebay - £3.99

This is probably my favourite out of the bunch. It may not be considered a sweater as it's not woolly and maybe not keep you the warmest...but I love it! The mix of leather makes this very unique and can be worn on warmer days too. And at the price? It's hard to say no.

2. Ebay£6.99

The standard chunky knit sweater - but that doesn't mean it's boring. The best thing about knits is that you can wear it with anything - skirts, jeans...or even sweatpants when you're lazing around. Although I'm loving burgundy as a autumn/fall colour, the seller has loads more to choose from!

3. ASOS£38

What caught my eye was definitely the sleeves - it's floral! How can anyone not like that! I love the blend of colours and it's just something unique

4. River Island£22

I'm personally not a cat person, but this sweater is just purrrr-fect (haha, get the pun?)

5. Zalando£35

There's something about things with batman logo on them that makes me want to get them! Grey is a super versatile colour to have in your wardrobe and the batman symbol is kinda cool (Y)

6. Ebay£8.49

A more loosely knit sweater - definitely loving the more feminine pastel colours and as this is oversized, it's great to chuck on whenever for that casual look.

Which one's your favourite? What would you like to see next on the A/W Wishlist Week?
