OOTD // Joy to the World

ALSO ON CHICTOPIA

sparkly maxi skirt: boohoo (similar) // crop top: thrifted (similar) // black wedges: new look(similar) // chunky necklace: eBay // earrings: boutique in Malaysia (similar) // lips: lime crime velvetine in 'red velvet'

"Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing"

Guess whaaaat? It's Christmas Dayyyy! I can't contain my excitement :D
In honour of my Christmas countdown, here is 1 Christmas outfit (:

As soon as this Boohoo maxi skirt arrived (haul to come soon), I knew it had to be incorporated into Christmas somehow! It was so flowy, sparkly and best of all, gold! It's also sheer, but it has knicker pants underneath so you're not over-exposed - no one wants that! It was also only £6 in the sale, but I think it's sold out now :( :(

I wore this to church on Christmas Eve and kept it simple - black crop top, gold accessories to match and a bold red lip for that extra festivity. All in all, I love this outfit. It's so elegant, formal and made me feel like a semi-princess, teeheee :')

I can't believe it's Christmas already though! Felt like this day would never come...anyway, it's 2am as I write this and I should probably head to bed because my sisters want to be up early to open presents :P
Hope you guys enjoyed the 5 day countdown with loads of Christmas goodness (go to my archive to check them out!)
Gooooood night and hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!

I was so busy yesterday that I missed the 2 day countdown! So sorry :(
For that, I'm giving you guys 2 amazing DIY Decor Ideas that you can make to spruce up your home and make it uber festive!
Oh and, if you missed the Festive Nail Art Ideas, DIY Wrap 'em ups and Christmas recipes...you can have a read of them now!

*Pictures and tutorials go to their respective owners*

1. Snow Globes

I've always loved snow globes because they're so whimsical and it's just full of wintery goodness! Especially when you shake it and the 'snow' goes around...how cool would it be to make your own?

2. Christmas Wreaths

Source

Everyone needs a Christmas wreath at the front of their door! My favourite is the very top multi-coloured felt one if you're after something quirky, but I also love the very right one in the second row as it's more classy, yet has that festive vibe. I envy people who can make these :(

Here's a sneak peek of how my house is decorated :D

Presents from the family - I spy one with my name on it ;)

Hope you guys have a fabulous Christmas Eve and are just as excited as I am!

Christmas Countdown // 3 Days = 3 DIY Wrap 'em ups!

3 more days to Christmas! Yayyyy!
Have you finished your Christmas shopping/wrapping yet? If not, here is 3 amazing gift wrapping ideas that are sure to make your presents stand out from the rest!
My wrapping skills are abysmal - as long as it covers the gift, I'm good to go :P But these have given me a whole lot of inspiration!
If you want more Christmas themed things, I did a post on Nail Art Ideas and Recipes to try out!

*All DIY steps come from their respective creative owners!*

1. Reindeer Paper Bag

Source
I think these would be amazing for little kids - they'll love them! Or if the gift isn't that big or bulky, you can just pop it into a simple brown paper bag and decorate it a la Rudolph!

2. Santa

Source

Another fun, festive, quirky one! And all you need is different coloured paper!

3. Personalised wrapping

Source

This is more ideal for adults or for that classy event/gift. All you really need is ribbon and brown paper! I love how you can write messages on the wrapping to make it more personalised and special (:

And because I saw this and could not not share it...here are some more wrapping ideas! Unleash that creativity!

I was pretty boring for my wrapping this year :P I had left over wrapping paper from last year so I just used that... but I would definitely love to try these though!
My Pinterest is HERE if you want more ideas!

Only 4 days to Christmas now! Wheeeeee!
(Pssst, if you missed yesterday's post, I got you covered! It's hereeeeeee)
Although I am absolutely hopeless at painting my own nails, here are 4 amazing Christmassy nail art designs that you could gain inspiration from to amp up the festivity! Hopefully you'll do a wayyy better job than me :P

*credits go to their respective owners that are wayyy more talented than me*

I love this snowflake design that actually looks quite simple to achieve, that maybe even I can give it a go!

I love how there's a combination of Christmassy themed things going on in this so if you don't know which to choose... CHOOSE THEM ALL! The Santa Claus and Candy cane stripes are the best in my opinion (:

If you're not into hard core Christmas novelty themed nails, this is more subtle, classy and still festive (:

This is another adorable one that I think will be actually quite simple to achieve! Lovveeeee it!

On a side note, I got my early Christmas present from the good people of UCAS because... I got a conditional offer to the University of Bath! Yayyy! It's one of my top choices so I'm quite happy (:
Also, it's the beginning of Christmas holidays which is amazing cause I can't wake up naturally and without an alarm! Bliss.
